YOU WANT TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN YOUR WEBSITE FROM WITHIN YOUR COMPANY
That is a great idea, especially If you have a site that will require constant updates, such as an E-commerce store where you offer products which must be priced, added to, deleted and changed, you may want to have one employee or one of the principles learn how to maintain the site. When you consider the amount of time, and money required for an outside Webmaster to make those many changes and keep your site up to date, it may be of benefit to train from within.
There is a learning curve to everything new: Building a quality Website is part learned, part judgement and in part artistic talent. With a mentor such as myself, those requirements may be trimmed. I will work with your designated person to build your new Website on your computer, in your facility. After your site is completed and published, you may need to occasionally call or have me come in as a consultant, but the majority of changes will be made by your designated person, giving you control over your Internet based enterprise.
The cost to create a Webmaster from within, is based upon the design criteria and the amount of time needed to get your designated person(s) up to speed. More information and quotations available during the consultation.
THERE ARE THREE PLACES WHERE YOU WILL SPEND MONEY TO LAUNCH YOUR WEBSITE

1. Domain Name Registration
As soon as you decide on a name for your site (i.e. Your Name), see if that name is available. The www dot prefix will be assigned to the front of your new name, but you must select the last part, called the extension: dot com, dot net, dot org etc (www.YourName.com). The premier or most recognized extension is dot com followed by dot net. This part can be very time consuming and  may require quite a bit of thought and here is why: You will want your name to be short and easy to remember (knowing all common names are taken). You'll want the dot com extension if available. If dot com is available, you may want to also buy dot net to thwart future competition. I'll give you examples of that during the consultation. You will want to register the name for a minimum of 5 years as this helps with recognition from search engines like Google. You will spend around $100.00 for a five year, single extension name registration. Domain name registration may seem confusing, but in reality it just takes time to create a good name that is not taken. The rest is a simple registration form and payment by credit card.. Further instructions and links available during the consultation.
2. Website Design Service (Webmaster)
A Website is created by an individual on a computer before being published to the Word Wide Web. Usually the company or person who builds the site will in the future be referred to as your Webmaster. Just a title, but more importantly a person you need to select carefully because there may be a long term relationship involved such as when you need changes made to your site. It is the client's job to quiz the prospective Webmaster: You'll want to see sample sites, you'll want to ask questions about the equipment your Webmaster uses, and  how your site files will be saved and backed up. You'll want to know if your prospective Webmaster has image editing capabilities in addition to an eye for color balance and design simplicity. Choosing a Webmaster / Design Service is possibly the most important step in creating your new Website and should be thought out carefully. Further information available during the consultation.
3. Website Hosting Service
After you have your Domain Name and your site is created and ready for publishing, you need to have a Hosting Company make a space for your site on the Internet. Some are better than others in relation to cost vrs. uptime. An example of hosting cost at a favored supplier, is a program available at $X.00 per month if you pay for four years. $XXX.00 out of pocket, but that's about half of most hosting plans. Shorter or longer are available also, with the most reasonable plan costing just $X.00 per month, with a 10 year obligation.  Further information on who to contact available during the consultation.
WEBMASTER RATES - A TYPICAL 3 TO 5 PAGE WEBSITE WILL COST $XX.00

Costs includes: Consultation with advice on domain name creation and registration. And assistance with hosting set up.  Website design layout with screenshots for your approval, placing up to 20 photos with creation of thumbnail and enlarged views to your specification, writing copy, establishing Website E-mail accounts with forwarders, creating links to all internal and up to 8 external locations, and final publishing. Your input and approval during the creation is not only advised but necessary in order to create a site that will bring results and compliments.

In addition, this Webmaster can provide professional photography and has the hardware, software and knowledge, to modify and alter images. Your Website will be created on a PC based Dell XPS Desktop Computer. All Website files are backed up on the internal 500 Gigabyte hard disk drive and in addition, for the sake of security, on a dedicated, 1Terrabyte Maxtor External hard disc drive.
COULD THE COSTS BE GREATER?
Sure... but costs are controllable. Changes after the basic layout is approved and additions above and beyond what was originally agreed upon, will require more than the standard amount of time:
Photo shoots, digital image alteration, slide shows, flash banners, PDF creation, logo design,  and a number of other options may cause costs to increase.
Digital photo alteration, Website work and computer graphics are billed at a rate of $XX.00 per hour.
Professional photography, on location is billed at $XX.00 per hour from the time I arrive at the jobsite.
In either case, a minimum of 1/2 hour is appropriately billed.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE
During the design process; I will need printed advertising media including brochures, yellow page advertising, awards, articles and photographs about your company and product. This is necessary to get an idea of what your company is about and how to write the copy to best attract clients to enter your site.
ASK QUESTIONS TO OBTAIN THE MOST INFORMATION
You should be comfortable with your Webmaster. You may develop trust on the first contact, or you may need to qualify your Webmaster by asking questions about equipment, dedication or talents. I encourage you to ask those questions of me. I have spent a great deal of time, effort and money to develop a winning combination of services, available to bring with me, to help your decision making process. Questions will bring out answers to any concerns you may have so as to make a qualifying decision. I look forward to your E-mail.
